FLU VACCINES ARE HERE

Mar 27 2019

Flu vaccinations are now available at Greytown Medical Centre and we highly recommend you have this as soon as possible before winter comes. This is funded for all over 65 year olds and some other groups who have specific needs such as diabetes and respiratory issues. Having a flu vaccine is your best protection against illness over winter and new studies show that the benefits extend to lower risk of hospitalisation and increased ability to remain independent in your own home. Flu vaccine is also very important for pregnant women and protects both Mum and baby against serious illness.

We are running flu clinics to enable the majority of our patients to access this over April, the funded vaccine goes through to December 2019. Call us on 06 3049012 to book your appointment or to speak to our nurses if you have any questions.

PHONE TRIAGE SERVICE - EFFECTIVE FROM MONDAY 30th JULY 2018

Phone triage is a change in our on-the-day process. This change means that all requests for an appointment on the day will be triaged over the phone by either a GP or a nurse, who will determine the most effective process for providing care.  If you need to come in and see us then there is no charge for the call, otherwise there is a charge of $25 for a script or $20 for advice. If you have any queries please feel free to talk to one of our staff.

Have your say

Jun 13 2017

Earlier this year many of our patients participated in the patient experience survey, thank you to all who participated.  We value your feedback and as a result reviewed your comments.

The practice's waiting times were a prevalent concern.  While we do have emergency situations to deal with from time to time, and this does affect wait times we will endeavour to reduce these delays.

There is another patient experience survey due about august and we welcome your participation.  It gives you the opportunity to let us know what we are doing well and what we may need to improve on.
